Dear Congregation:

Finance and Corporate Affairs has decided to renew our agreement with Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) to purchase permission for each church in our presbytery to show video or DVD movies as part of any church program.  In most cases it is illegal to show movies without this permission, and to arrange for and purchase permission for movies individually is both costly and time consuming.  (Rental movies are intended for personal use only.) 

The NPS Presbytery receives a discounted rate because we subscribe to this service for all of our churches. While we feel it important to protect our churches and the Presbytery from illegal use fines, it is an expense that takes away funds from other uses such as camp scholarships, conferences and local workshops.  Therefore, we ask each church to reimburse the Presbytery for this expense. We are grateful to those who have paid for their share of the license in previous years.

Each church is asked to pay $125.00 for this coverage (total cost is approximately $3800).  If this is not feasible for your congregation, any portion of that amount would be appreciated!  Checks should be made out to NPS Presbytery and mailed to the office at 1010 E. Casino Rd., Everett, WA 98203.
